The path I walk

“To listen deeply is to begin to remember who we are, and how to walk in the world in a sacred way.”

My journey is one of listening—to the earth, to the body, and to the quiet rhythms of presence. Each step shaped by curiosity, compassion, and a deep love for the living world

With over twenty years of experience in the mental health and helping professions, my path has been one of deep listening—refining the art of attunement to both the spoken and unspoken, to what is present in the body, and to what echoes through the natural world. My foundations are rooted in the practices of Yoga, the structure and skill of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and the embodied awareness that arises through somatic work.

Seven years immersed in DBT have shaped a strong framework of cognitive and emotional insight, while my early training as an outdoor instructor, working with young people in wilderness settings, awakened my understanding of the healing power of the land. Most recently, my journey has led me into the heart of Mindful Somatic Ecotherapy—as both a student and a teacher—where I’ve come to trust in the inherent organicity of all living things and their capacity to move toward healing, individually and collectively.

My work now draws from this integrated lineage—mind, body, nature, and soul—guiding others in remembering their place in the living web. I facilitate vision quests and youth rites of passage, offer somatic ecotherapy, DBT coaching and hold spaces where presence and the more-than-human world are invited as co-facilitators in the process of transformation. In all I offer, there is an invitation: to walk alongside the wild, and to rediscover the strength, softness, and wisdom that has always lived within.

Ecotherapy and DBT Coaching

Mindful Somatic Ecotherapy

What is Mindful Somatic Ecotherapy?

Mindful Somatic Ecotherapy is a trauma-informed, nature-based therapeutic approach that integrates mindfulness, somatic psychology, and relational practice to support emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and a deepened sense of self. Rooted in the principles of Hakomi therapy, Nonviolent Communication (NVC), contemplative mindfulness, and rites of passage work, this modality brings together ancient and contemporary ways of facilitating transformation.

Clients are guided to attune to both their internal experience and the natural world, engaging the full spectrum of embodied awareness—sensation, emotion, thought, impulse, memory, and movement. The approach is experiential and process-oriented, working with what arises in the present moment to foster insight, integration, and resilience. It emphasizes relational safety, compassionate witnessing, and trust in the organic unfolding of each person's healing journey.

This work is particularly supportive for those navigating:

  • Grief and loss

  • Trauma (developmental, complex, or situational)

  • Parts work and internal conflict

  • Emotional dysregulation or overwhelm

  • Identity transitions, including rites of passage (e.g., parenthood, menopause, coming out, or spiritual awakening)

  • Chronic stress and burnout

  • Anxiety, shame, and self-criticism

  • A sense of disconnection—from self, body, others, or nature

In Mindful Somatic Ecotherapy, the natural world is not simply a backdrop but a co-regulator and active participant in the process. Time in nature supports grounding, insight, and a felt sense of belonging. The land is engaged as a mirror, a witness, and a teacher—inviting clients into deeper contact with the resilience, balance, and wholeness reflected in the living systems around them.

Whether you're meeting indoors or outside in nature, sessions are collaborative, respectful, and tailored to your needs. This is a path of remembering—the wisdom in your body, the resilience in your spirit, and your belonging in the larger web of life.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Coaching

What is DBT Coaching?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) coaching offers a structured, practical, and empowering approach to emotional and relational wellbeing. Originally developed by psychologist Marsha Linehan to support individuals experiencing intense emotions and high levels of distress, DBT combines mindfulness with behavioral strategies to help people build a more balanced and grounded life. While DBT has clinical roots, in a coaching context it is offered as a skills-based, non-pathologizing framework that supports real-life change.

Grounded in the principles of mindfulness, acceptance, and behavioral science, DBT coaching focuses on four key areas:

  • Emotional regulation – learning how to identify, understand, and manage intense emotions

  • Distress tolerance – building healthy ways to cope with crisis or discomfort without making things worse

  • Interpersonal effectiveness – improving boundaries, communication, and confidence in relationships

  • Mindfulness – becoming more present and less reactive to thoughts and feelings

DBT coaching can be offered on its own or alongside other approaches such as Mindful Somatic Ecotherapy. On its own, it can be especially supportive for individuals who want clear tools and strategies for navigating daily life, improving relationships, and gaining emotional steadiness. When integrated with deeper therapeutic or nature-based work, it strengthens the foundation for self-awareness, embodiment, and resilience.

This modality is well-suited for both in-person and online sessions, and can be adapted to support:

  • Emotional overwhelm or reactivity

  • Anxiety, shame, or self-criticism

  • Grief and life transitions

  • Relationship struggles and codependency patterns

  • Trauma recovery (as a stabilizing support)

  • Identity exploration and parts work

  • Chronic stress or burnout

  • Building self-trust and healthy coping strategies

Whether you’re seeking structure during a difficult time, wanting to deepen emotional skills, or looking for a practical container alongside inner healing work, DBT coaching offers a compassionate and empowering path forward.
